LXT Project

Post by jb7778 »

First pics as I start my LXT build... JRXT was actually my first kit and after a couple weeks assembling I finally made it to the track for the first time and everyone was racing their new LXTs!! I was so frustrated but kept racing my JRXT while saving lunch money to eventually buy an LXT. Unfortunately this was not my original truck but still have my JRXT and several others that I hope to do future build threads. Everyone else’s have inspired me enough to share my own. Thanks for looking!

Great truck, this and the Pro SE were the swan song to the original JRX2 design and great vehicles.

I have a big, big soft spot for the LXT because this was my first American RC Car last millenium - I still have it from bitd, and a few more!

Have fun rebuilding this baby

Progress report.. Front spindles/axles and retro transmission. I should have done before and after some of these parts were in tough condition!

Damn... Looking real good. I also had the JrxT back in the day and still favor it just for that reason but this looks killer.

No update, likely be awhile before this project goes any further, I plan to bring several vehicles (JRX2/PRO/SE/XXCR/XXTCR) to this stage then finalize "shelfing" details from that point... Have body and wheels ready to go though!
Haven't had much time for vintage past couple weeks but Ive built a couple 22X-4's and working on an 8XE now. Hope to be racing soon!
