wtcc's RC10 T2 #7036
Today I pulled out my T2 that I bought in '96 after working and saving a long time as a teen. And that is my one and all jewel RC car. It hasn't been run a lot. The last time was in 2009. Since then it has a kind of shelf queen status.
Out of curiosity I checked what parts I have for it and was surprised. It is more than I thought. Even some original stickers are left. With me reliving my childhood RC time, I am motivated to prepare the car for some fun runs in the next weeks.
This is the status of the car right now:
The camera makes it look a little better than it really is. Arms and chassis have scratches. Bearings and gearbox are still smooth and free. Body, bumper, tires, wheels and drive shafts are new, just installed.
Somehow I still love the look of the truck a lot:
Unfortunately I couldn't find any old picture of me running it in the 90s...
Oh well, I can make new ones. Soon I will do a rebuild just to check/clean everything and renew oil and grease.

Re: wtcc's RC10 T2 #7036
Thanks
I could source some parts and wanted to go for another set of tires and wheels. The tires were not easy, but I found the same I got on it. But wheels seem to be a pain to find. ProLine has cancelled its production. Now I am unsure what will fit this truck. Do you have a thread here where I can find information of what to use for the T2 or how to fit wheels of new truck generations?
Finding a fitting body is also not easy. I only found Jconcepts 1995. Any other options available?
Thanks again

Re: wtcc's RC10 T2 #7036
I am too trying to sort thing out regarding wheels, I ordered a front hex conversion from Custom Works, if that fits, I can just use the new hex wheels, the rear, I’m not sure if you can just slap on a 12mm hex and run the modern wheels, or if you also need different dogbones.
