? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
I was wondering if anyone has ever converted a T2 to a B2/B3. I like the aluminum tub on the T2 and thought it would be interesting to make A B2 on an aluminum tub by swapping out the front nose plates. I would have to figure out some nose bracing but that should be doable. Everything else should be pretty straight forward.

Yes, a few guys have built them, Scr8p probably has the most. We call them b1.5 on this forum......
But not with a b2 noseplate. With a regular buggy. A b2 noseplate will not bolt up directly. You would need an intermediate plate or cut a truck plate to fit.

JWSCAB, when you say regular buggy plate, are you referring to a regular RC10 (GEN 1) nose plate. I guess what I am wanting to do is set up the front with better geometry and longer arms. I just picked up a very nice B3 Factory Team, and really like the handling. However, I am reluctant to bash with this B3. But I like the old school aluminum tub.

Re: ? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
I have one I started awhile ago that I tried using b2 rear suspension. I planned to do the same on the front, but I've yet to come up with something that doesn't look like a total hack job.

Well I might have to look for a new project unless I come up with a cheap T2 experiment with. I have a buddy with a small CNC mill that might be able to mod a nose plated. But sounds like the rear suspension is the problem, which I was not expecting.

Re: ? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
what did you want to do with the rear?
you could just make a flat chassis or a tub chassis from aluminum, if you look up nikki products on shapeways, he designed some b2 b3 stuff for a flat chassis, a bulkhead brace, etc.

Re: ? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
I was thinking regular B2 arms and linkage would work on a T2. As I am searching for wheels for my B3, which is a a struggle, probably will skip my original idea. Would be easier just to build a B4 with aluminum chassis.
Re: ? B2/B3 nose plate on T2
I might just have to get those rims. Really was wanting black dish rims, but good luck on that. I think the DE bearing rims will work but nothing with the right backspacing for the rears. Ever run those sets of Worlds Re-re on a B2 or B3? I think those are the only two option out there right now.

Jconcepts has 2.2 dish wheels coming out pretty soon for the rc10, b2 and b3 (3/16" rear axles).
