Headling’s RC10 no5, Willspeed special!

Post by Headling »

So raised the very last of my parts box and got this far!

This build will be in conjunction with my sponsor Willspeed and will feature some exiting new alloy products we are developing for the RC10

I’ll keep this thread updated on progress of the Willspeed parts and the build of this car!

I couldn’t find any rear hinge pins but whilst having a rummage I found some ti turnbuckles were the right diameter, so again to the lathe and made them round and job done!

what kind of special parts do you guys have in mind? I've always loved Team Xtreme's MM cars :)

looks pretty cool all around. I would double check those inner upper rear arm ball ends to be sure they don't crash into the transmission, unless you have something special going on there. those inner mounts are preettty far inboard. if those upper links are longer than the lower links you are gonna have some wacky positive camber gain over the full travel.

Or simply use an outer camber mounting hole and a shorter link ;)

Yes that's an easy option! :D

I prefer the longer links (running on carpet/astro)

What Dog Bones are needed to run 3D printed Andy's arms? Are they from a RC10, a 10T, or are they a special part? And what did he print them in?

Not sure on what he printed them in tbh, as for driveshafts I've not got to this part of the build

Will update the thread though once the gearbox is sorted out
