I tried to show a lot of what went wrong in there so that may well be helpful , also note the timeframe of about 5 months of really intensive obsessive work ,in many ways the RC10 is less complicated as its 2wd but the challenge of creating strong printable parts that are visually close enough to be recognisable will be the same .I'm contemplating my next big printing project but I look forward to seeing your RC10 copy come together .XLR8 wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:40 amI realize that you're planning to print an RC10 but Dadio has designed and printed a Yoke Dogfighter and you can read all about that in this link:Carknowledge101 wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 6:46 pm Just the guy I was looking for! Dadio, I hope you don't mind.
It's a fascinating read and a must for anyone interested in recreating an entire car from what are essentially spools of plastic thread.![]()

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

I have seen his Dogfighter. It’s pretty cool that he made 90% of it from 3D printing!

Re: 3D Printed RC Parts
I think I will do it a little differently than is expected. I have decided to make my own aluminum chassis and do a mid motor car. I will use a lot of parts from a regular rc10 but with a custom chassis. But! That’s not to say that in the future I won’t do a regular rc10 with 3D parts...
Now the problem is what transmission to use for this”Beast”. I was thinking maybe a tranny from a RC10GT but I am open to suggestions as long as they aren’t super spendy.
