Re: Kyosho assault question
CZ-1, 2 and CZ-R use the same crank minus the difference in the starter nub so yes, you can swap it out.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Is their a way I can bolt this directly to my assault instead of trying to remove the crank from the other engine

Re: Kyosho assault question
Yes. It is an identical footprint and fully compatible. They make quite a bit more power due to the better carb. Just lacking the rear start cone but your zip start should still work just fine.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Good my restart cone is shredded any way. I could probably find a root start for it. The front shaft seems to be shorter, is there an adapter I can put on there?

Re: Kyosho assault question
Front shaft? You mean the front of the crank? The one in the link you provided is full length. Some were cut down for the RC10GT but that one isn’t.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Thanks, any idea where I could find a good backer plate and cone for the back of the engine. I found a recoil but this thing will already be a wheely king I am also looking for a servo tray and the servo holder for the rx and rx pack. Any ideas would be great.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Not sure what parts you are referring to. The cone and backing plate for a CZ-1 and 2? Because it won’t fit the CZ-R unless you have a crank with the pin on it. That said- I do not know of any for sale.
I make reproduction radio plates and bumpers for these. I’ll have them on eBay shortly, I actually forgot to relist them. Not sure about the battery holder. I assume you mean the radio box but I don’t know of any for sale. If you really mean the actual battery holder- those should be easy to find. Just need to know the connector it has on it. Red two pin is the most common.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Thank you, let me know the link for the servo tray and bumper so I can purchase them. I am also looking for the radio box that holds the receiver and receiver pack. I would like to find the rear starter cone assembly also.
Thanks again

Re: Kyosho assault question
No worries, if you have a link to your products I would purchase from you. I bought them off eBay, I assumed they were yours.
Thanks for the information and support. I think I have most parts to make it like new.

Re: Kyosho assault question
Try looking for Beetle re-release wheels, they're identical to Assault wheels apart from the rears being one piece. Part numbers are SCH004Y for the rears and the fronts are SCH003Y. Marwan does repro front and rear tyres or just get the Beetle, Scorpion, Tomahawk tyres.
