Re: What do you think this is
Car finally arrived but the motor is locked up. Any suggestions who I could send the engine to to clean it up and make look like new?
Thanks,
I think I am going to do a restoration blog on this one.

Re: Engine builder / parts
So I reached out to a builder and they explained they could not get parts to rebuild the Enya 11. If anyone is out there that could clean this and get it to run I am willing to pay a premium. I just like my collector cars very clean and As close to original as possible. Anyone interested or know of someone please let me know.
Thanks,
Jim

Re: What do you think this is
You could try taking it apart and rebuilding it yourself. believe it or not I hadn't touched a nitro engine since the mid 90s until this past winter. I was intrigued with learning how to completely disassemble and reassemble one so I read and watched videos on how to, and took the plunge. It was far easier than I imagined as there's not a lot of parts to them. It's important to be mindful of what orientation things are in so they go back the same way. I took pictures so I had a reference. I don't know if any I restore will actually run but I don't see why not. That's not important to me as they're for shelf queens.
Your Enya is probably locked up due to sitting for a long time with fuel in it. You might be able to free it up with partial disassembly. Take the carb, head, and backplate off, then soak it in a solvent to dissolve all the old gunk inside. The biggest hurdle you could face is finding replacement gaskets.
If you want to bypass all that, why not just replace the engine with another period correct one in better shape? You can sell this one to help pay for the new one.

Thanks,
I pull the bashers that I can get parts for on a regular basis, but The stuff that is harder to get parts for and if it is a wall Queen I take a different approach. Often I will buy a new in the box period correct but they are getting harder to come by.
