Pure gold! Thank you!

I started some cleaning and reassembly last night, and low and behold, I had all the necessary hardware on hand. I swapped out the (too long) aluminum screws for stainless, all found in a hardware package for Losi, from Team KNK Hardware. 8) I didn't know if anyone was going to have these instructions, so I put an inquiry into MIP as a long shot. Now Dalton from MIP has asked me to give him a call?!?

That's cool - ask him to re-re the darn thing altogether when you have him on the line

Talked with Dalton yesterday. He sounded a bit too young to know about this transmission . He had talked to the engineers and was able to tell me about the differences in the transmissions, just as @Asso_man! had detailed earlier. However, they didn't have anything left relating to the transmission. Not even a copy or scan of the instructions. But it was awesome that he was willing to look into it and provide what information he could. Really says a lot about MIP.

Anyway, still have some cleaning left to do on the transmission. And more importantly, I need to decide what I'm doing with it.

Question about the timeline of this transmission: when was it available with respect to the Hydradrive? Would a Hydradrive have ever been used on this transmission, or is the MIP slipper simply superior/preferred?

Gears are turning...
IMO since the LB-1000 was released in 1991, and the Hydra-Drive came out the following year, it would be period correct and acceptable to have one on it. Speedcraft makes a Hydra top shaft for it, and I happen to have a few in my stash. The Hydra was great for mod motors on a blown out track.
