I see ultrahive on Instagram and people contact him there, he shows pictures of current paint jobs on there.

I really appreciate all of the help with this guys! I have been running into those same dead links on the pics, but definitely a lot closer than I was before!
I guess I need to get a response from one of them that was involved. I was trying to avoid being full on stalker, but suppose I will have to go through other channels to dig up a contact method.
As far as the vintage RCCA, now that I think about it, I am 90% sure it was an ad, and 10% that it was some sort of feature, time frame would like be around 88-90 if I had to guess.

I was able to get up with Ultrahive, and he indicated he did not do that paint job.
The quest continues.....

The body is finished, but I have not finished trimming it. I'm also waiting on an order of the Sidewinder stickers I need and some other details from the picture.

WED Jim thread on rctech with body pictures
Link to his site is dead, but this is the guy that painted it.

If he happens to know what magazine issues the body was in, let me know! I’ve been going through mine one at a time and haven’t seen it yet. It’s always great going through back issues because I see something new each time!

That’s it! Looking at the magazine spread, it looks more like an article feature or something. I stared at that thing for so many hours!

Wow! Followed that with expectation. Haha!

So funny how the actual car turned up before the magazine spread.

If it is an article it doesn’t look like RCCA.

I agree, doesn’t look like an issue of RCCA. RC Model Cars is what comes to mind first..

That's not a stock body.
Not a Renegade or a Viper body.
I remember those bodies but I forget the name of the body style.
Can anyone tell me what the name of that body style is?
