RC10 B2 reproduction body
Just received this today and I immediately noticed these dimples and they seemed to be at low spots in the body. I suspect these were formed by holes in the mold meant to vent air and allow the lexan to be pulled tightly to the mold.
I have a Proline B2 body and an original (I think) AE B3 body and I don't find these dimples in either of them.
Did the original AE B2 bodies have these?

I've never seen anything like what you have there. That just looks like random vent holes added to the mold. I see the penguin sticker. Did any of the other bodies have these dimples?

Re: RC10 B2 reproduction body
The other bodies I received were Protech 2's and they have dimples as well - although not as many.
I was planning to use these for restored shelfers so I'm a little disappointed.
By the way, I promised to post the length of Penguin's Protech 2 body and I'll do that tomorrow.

Re: RC10 B2 reproduction body
Drilling vent holes in molds is a usually a poor attempt at trying to compensate for an underpowered vacuum machine. Sorry to hear this. I was really hoping to maybe get a good Protech body from them, but with stories of 1/2" short bodies and all these dimples, I think I'll wait.

Re: RC10 B2 reproduction body
I've been watching some of Sabula Tech's youtube videos on vacuum forming lexan bodies - making a good quality body shell isn't nearly as easy as one might think. It's very much an art form sorta like blowing glass. Mold temps, lexan temps, vacuum, etc., have to be just right or the body will contain flaws.
For reference, with sales tax and shipping costs I have $30.70 US in the B2 body shell alone (it did not come with a wing).

Re: RC10 B2 reproduction body
I just have three body shells from Sabula Tech but they're very nice.
I wish we could convince him to make molds for these vintage RC10 bodies.
He's afraid AE will start producing them again and he'll be SOL.
