Vintage team checkpoint brushes

I have several vintage checkpoints and one trinity sprint that need new brushes, they are the real small square ones. Anyone have any or know where i can get some?

Yes, slot car brushes by i cant find any with the wires attached, i think they are 36D, but not sure

There is a member here, slotcarrod, that would probably know if there is or were brushes that have wires attached.
Hopefully some else can chime in with knowledge as well.
Been dusting off my old cars recently and takin' life easy.

Thanks, you too Chuck. Last thing, not the Trinity, but those Checkpoints were the exact same motors u raced against in the 80s, they were in Mike Mercers cars

I may be talking out of turn here but aren't these just 540 motor sized "laydown" brushes?

Those early check point motors used slot car sized brushes and springs.

I never had them, but I would assume you could just use the slot car shunt wire too. Solder the one end to the hood and tuck the other between the spring and brush.

Hard to find slot car brushes with wires because wires were attached usually the way scr8p wrote, speaking of slot car motors.
Regarding Checkpoint and Trinity, both of them sold slot brushes with wires. These are very hard to find today, I did search for them a couple of years to restore my Checkpoint motors.

I found some at Ebay some years ago and I think that's the only source. But had to wait 'some' time to pop up and not cheap.
Asked slot racers but they used just those without wires.

No these are completely different brushes, I think round shape. They are for modern Checkpoint motors.
Checkpoint motors and stuff with this card header has nothing to do with the old Checkpoint company owned by Jim Greenemeyer. It is just the name what was sold to new owner after old Checkpoint closed doors.

In the past, I had also the Trinity Slot-Brushes Motor, and also looking for slot car brushes with wire. Some Infos are welcome!

I believe I still have the springs if that helps. You could also cut some brushes down.
