Well, yes of course. But maybe you could introduce your friends to RC - get them interested, bring them to the track, convince them to put down the game controller and go outside and have fun in the dirt. :D

I'll try to see if I can convince my youth group to do a group RC10 or similar restoration. That sounds like fun!

Awesome! I hadn't thought of it before but I reckon RC would be a great youth group activity.

There's honestly a good chance I'll come home with a free project tomorrow when I go to the track. Last two times I went to ham radio conventions, people just gave me free equipment because they're excited to see a young kid in the hobby. Same thing at Pate Swap Meet this year, got some free parts from an old-timer kart racer.
Hopefully I'll get a project our youth group can restore for fun.... :D
