Accounts cannot be closed

After receiving several requests for account closure, it's something I feel needs to be addressed.

Closing your account is not an option. If you no longer have a use for RC10Talk such as leaving the hobby for instance, you say your goodbyes if you wish, and leave on a good note. It also leaves the door open if you should return one day in the future. This is generally how message boards work. Their existence revolves around the texts and attachments members create which are intertwined with each other. Unnecessarily deleting all content linked to an account removes this archived information. Additionally, It not only leaves topics fragmented and potentially useless, it causes problems with certain features, and the database as well. If you feel this poses a problem for you, the best advice we can give is to refrain from creating any additional content.
