Hello, I've been working on this for a few months now and I wanted to do something a little different. There was a thread here which talked about how many stealth cars where fielded at the 1991 Detroit Worlds. I believe the number was 15 or 16. Anyhow photos have only surfaced for maybe 5 or 6 six of these.

I started with the Images I found on here of Rick Hohwarts car,

This is where I am at right now.

I machined my own chassis spacers and made my own bumper, battery clamp. As far as I can tell the electronics should be ok: Futaba S9401 servo (re-badged S131sh); Novak M1C (late pop fuse type); Peak Performance Marauder 12 single; Sanyo SCE 1700 cells.
The front springs are Associated truck silver fronts. The rears are Yokomo silver.

I'm still pending getting some spring spacers for the rear Yokomo springs, I might change the rear bulkhead and obvious the body/wing needs to be obtained I'm looking for now at the turbo mirage no scoop at Sabulatech.

The tires have me completely stumped so for now the matching TR32 and TF320 are on there as place holders.
The receiver is also a bit of a sticking point since it cannot be seen very well. It would most likely be a Novak NER-3FM since by 1991 running an AM system would have been asking for trouble. Anyhow the receiver seems to be black with a Novak sticker so it could even be a Futaba.

The parts have been dyed with Nescafe, It took a while and many scrap pieces to test on before I figured out a shade I liked.

And the 3 color paint scheme is solid AND appealing.

Appealing in the sense its easy to paint and its easy on the eyes. I really hate body shells and sticker so we will see how that plays out...

I think the holes are in the right place for 0.71" shock bodies just in case anybody wanted to use them I guess.

Can you divulge in your method for dying with Nescafé

Its not my brain child somebody else on another thread discovered it. Tea was also mentioned, I tried both and Nescafe seemed more efective.

Test times before you dye because you will ruin your 3D pieces by making them ugly...
Sauce pan with boiling water you will need to keep it on the fire so that it is always nice and hot.
Table spoon of Nescafe, stir.
Add SLS parts, and keep stirring because they float and will not get an even color if you let them sit still.
I think I had them in there for 20 minutes. Then rinse with hot tap water.

Please test on scrap pieces first or go carefully in 2 minute intervals rinsing and comparing color to a original nylon piece

I always loved the Hohwart paint scheme on his '91 Stealth. Very simple and to the point without being boring. I guess I drawn to it because it looked like something I could paint, but he was running it on the World's stage.

A quick example:

The peak performance marauder motor label, I have an original but I used it as a learning exercise.
first you need a picture:

This was from the ebay auction.

Now you need to find the correct font. This web page helps. https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont

Results

The font you need is "banco" Now you need to find it and not pay $35
A quick google will solve that issue.

Now install the font and start Inkscape

Make your label background the right size and round the corners.

Add some color.

Make a new layer and add the text. Size and shape as necessary.

That layer will become the shadow. Make a duplicate layer for the main text. and change fill and stroke (outline) colors as necessary.

I'm sure you get the idea by now

Some of the other stickers will require drawing which can be more work some less, for example I just downloaded the US flag the.

Like everything it takes time. The results...
