This is a great shot. Could be a promo picture for Associated.

Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
T4 gear cover fits perfect! The hardest part to come by is the front bumper. Not going to pay $25 for a NOS. Wonder if a B5 would fit...

Put a big DONE stamp on this build. Going to the track next week to let it eat! Keeping this one forever! Thanks for all the comments!

Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
I was never a big fan of the t3 but I really like how this turned out! Has a slightly newer than old vibe but with just the right amount of oldish school parts. Also, its not so overmodded that it doesn't resemble its original state is a good thing
One question though is did you have a reason to mount the front tires a different direction than the rears or just a slight miss?

Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
I run the Positrons front backwards as it shaves off just alittle traction. Enables me to run standard ride height without traction rolling.klavy69 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 10:34 am I was never a big fan of the t3 but I really like how this turned out! Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
Drove the truck today at Hobby Action in Chandler AZ. It drives amazingly good!! Gearing a bit off and need to change some esc settings. But, surprised how fast it was. Passing T6.1's today. Headed back Sunday to tune it. Ill get some video and post.

It turned out great. I don't think I could drive it, it's too nice. Glad to hear it ran as good as it looks. Video would be great.

Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
Beautiful truck! A couple questions... did you end up finding a front bumper that works? Second, what decals did you use for the front headlights/grill with the TBG body? I just picked up a T3 that needs a bumper & body, so it's got me wondering.

Re: T3 rebuild with updated parts
Nice build. Obviously, a labor of love. Just picked a T3 roller off Ebay myself for use on my backyard grass track oval. This is a good reference thread. Cheers. AC
