Nice '68 Charger project there! It's good to see another forum member with a Charger project. I'm working on a '70 and someone else here is working on a '66 or '67, I believe.
Oh nice!!!! This was my first car. Shes been apart for 12 years now. Now that Ive moved to a much larger workspace....maybe I'll find the time to squirt paint and get her on the road.

Recently I bought a ‘02 Porsche Carrera 4 cabriolet last month. Got it from a private seller with 64k on the clock. Rebuilt motor with updated IMS put in at 38k.

I’m still in the honeymoon phase so I’ve just been cleaning and restoring it back to its best shape. The sun had faded the head lights which looked terrible.

Image

I started using a 3m headlight restore kit but ditched it in favor of wet sanding them with 400/600/1000/1200/1500/2000 grit paper.

Image

Once I got them as nice as I could with the 2000 grit paper.

Image

I buffed them with some Meguiars fine cut cleaner. They came out super clear.

The interior needed a thorough cleaning. I used dawn soap and a soft tooth brush to scrub all the pebble grain surfaces in the car. Then used Lexol to clean and condition the seats. The interior color is a dark blue. I’d like to change out a few worn interior pieces.

Next big item on the agenda will be the brakes.

My S2000 that I've had for 13 years now. Saw this car in this color at the 2006 Detroit auto show and was smitten. Bought one a year later in January 2007. Only ever use it on weekends and road trips, been to myrtle beach and the UP. Fun story about the UP trip. Came around a corner at speed and came upon a moose crossing the road where his knees were level witb my head, I settled it down after that...

Haven't had much to be happy about big-toy wise for a few years..... but late last year, the 2000 model Civic we were driving pretty much died of tiredness. One weekend, the missus sprung it on me that we would go and look at the car that I had picked out as the best replacement for us, given what was on offer and what our requirements were.

A couple of hours later, we had signed on the dotted line, and a month or so later, this was delivered direct from Japan (via a long boat trip):
C2.jpg
It's now been nearly a year (give or take) since we got our Toyota C-HR, and it's just exactly what we were looking for. Big enough to not feel like a tiny car, but small enough to be able to get into and out of our tight driveway with ease. Greta higher driving position to provide improved vision, but doesn't feel like driving a block of flats. Relaxed driving when the missus is in the car, but when I'm alone I can put it into Sport mode, and get enough of a performance boost to really enjoy the driving. Plus enough gear, bells and whistles, to keep us very satisfied with our decision.

In the US, the C-HR comes with a 2.0l 4 cylinder NA engine.... the one we get here is a fair bit smaller at 1.2L, but comes with a turbo as well  . Plus the 7-speed auto means you always have power available (especially in Sport mode). And no, I did not want to get the hybrid model :P

Very happy! Reminds me a lot of the old model 3-door RAV-4 I used to have back in the mid-90's...... :D
