Here is my entry. It's my newly finished "close enough for me" 10GT box art. The spur gear and lower rear shock mount are black, rear tires not quite right, wrong crystal, wrong servos, wrong head on the motor, wrong muffler, and the body isn't perfect, but for my budget and lack of painting skills I LOVE it. I really like how it turned out and hope you do to.

Well if you're not tired of seeing poor quality pictures of reconfigured TRX-1's with "up-cycled" bodies and parts: Here you go!!!
Hope you're doin' something fun.

I’ll throw one in
This is a vintage car that never was. Daryl has produced a couple but they never went into production. This was to be a platform to sell as a usable display chassis. Very much mimicking the design of the Bolink Legends but allowing sedan tires and wheels to be used. There were a lot of his customers that wanted the Volvo bodies to replicate their own cars but were not really into rc.

Let me play, too - not the first time I pull out this one, it's an oldie but goodie:
Yokomo YRFII-SP - offered to me by my RC "mentor", the guy who drove me to my first race bitd - he's a much older gentleman now (me too).
These were the days when the DTM class was still searching itself, rumor has it that Masami spanked a field of bespoke 4wd touring cars with this design bitd, so it was banned from the class
Anyway - the car was a bit of a wreck and it went through a full restoration, including the delaminated chassis and all the stuff. I has all period-correct running gear in it, it could actually run probably would it not be for that insanely-narrow-windowed-front-diff which is either in slip or in locked mode, nothing in between. Which is a good pretext for me NOT to run this rare piece of RC goodness, really
good luck to everyone,
Paul

Did I miss a rules change that previous winners this year can now re-enter with a new or different car???? Sorry if I missed it but would like a clarification.

You'll be glad to know, running a locked front diff is pretty common for touring cars now! I look forward to seeing the video of yours racing!Lonestar wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 8:17 am I has all period-correct running gear in it, it could actually run probably would it not be for that insanely-narrow-windowed-front-diff which is either in slip or in locked mode, nothing in between. given that EP DTM (4wd) is my main racing class, yes, I am aware of thisTimmahhh wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:28 pmYou'll be glad to know, running a locked front diff is pretty common for touring cars now! I'm just kidding of course. I've always wanted to drive one of the YRF's... Then again, if I had one, I probably wouldn't run it eitherLonestar wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:49 pmgiven that EP DTM (4wd) is my main racing class, yes, I am aware of thisTimmahhh wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:28 pmYou'll be glad to know, running a locked front diff is pretty common for touring cars now! FWD has made a come back, too, I doubt they run spools though... I can't imagine how badly that would push
