Pit Box/Storage
Now that I have two RC10s, I need something to store them, my tools and parts. Anyone have any suggestions? I remember all the old pictures with neat boxes for tools and parts. Im thinking something along those lines, but with space for the car and maybe radio? Partially to keep my other half happy and partly to keep thing organized. I took a look at Lowes tools boxes and there was one or two that might work. I also think it would make it easier to take it all to the track if I get lucky and find time. I have been using some nice Stanley boxes to organize wiring parts for my 1:1 Jeep, but they are too deep for small RC parts.

I still go to the track the same way I did back in the day. A Plano box holds all of my tools, gears, oils, spare hardware, etc. The big tote has my power supply, chargers, batteries, radios, soldering iron, extra tires, etc.

Re: Pit Box/Storage
pretty much the same here when I go. The tote has my actual vehicle in it and a plano box like Jason's holds all my tools along with a tool bag for batteries, charger, etc.
When I ran regularly I started out with all my extra hardware in other totes along with nitro fuel, and extra parts and just plain everything I owned so if I broke down I could do a little fixin and be back out there running but once I had my daughter that slowed down quite a bit.
Now its back to a tote, tool bag, and tackle box...if I get the ambition to carry the crap out to my explorer and then go fight bugs and idiots hanging out at the track...

Re: Pit Box/Storage
Thanks for the ideas. I had a tote with a custom make plywood insert to make it two levels... But no more... I was looking for a replacement this evening. The more challenging thing seems to be a toolbox/parts box. I want to keep my RC tools separate from the rest of my shop. It seems to be hard to find a simple plastic toolbox with drawers that is in stock.
