I'm lucky I guess - Tower, Omni and Axial sent me notices...

I am curious about all this. They're out of stock on so many things and have been for months. Associated, Tamiya and others. If they want customers, they need product to sell. Wish someone knew some news. I can't seem to find anything newer than April, 08. Anyone?

Horizon bought them - they now carry Losi, Spektrum and other Horizon brands. I think they are trying to get stock back in, I noticed some 'new' AE parts that had been on backorder forever they other day.

I've been shopping from tower as long as I can remember but had to order from amain for the first time, and I must say the service was excellent. Parts came quicker than tower, albeit a small envelope but was impressive still.

Amain is top-notch... but TH was the counterpower. If Amain had remained to sole "huge" player on the global shipping market, this would not have been good for us non-US consumers...

as a side note:

i had to pop down to the last local hobby shop figuring i could pick up some Futaba receivers. the hobby shop had nothing and the owner said it was because of great planes going under and horizon buying them up and they had yet to figure out how to work things out with futaba.

he recommended going on ebay and getting what i needed.

i figured by now they would of at least figured things out for licensed distributors but i guess not.

when TH went under, futaba was one of their biggest creditors... I guess Horizon hasn't quite figured out how to handle this one yet

The chances of Horizon wanting Futaba are slim, as they are Spektrum. I guess its possible, but why pay Futaba when they could sell their own brand?
