Yokomo Pavidis?
Hello,
I bought this really nice car some weeks ago and thought I share some pictures of it. The guy who owned it bought it new in Japan many years ago. It is brand new and has not yet been completely build, comes with some extra parts, tyres, rims etc, one funny detail is the paper note from the hotel in Japan, he counted out the price for the car and spares.
Please tell me more about this car.
Enjoy the pics!

Looks like you have the best of everything you need to finish the car which is in pristine condition. What a sweet find for you!
This is the Mark Pavidis edition of the YZ-10 which was used to win the 1995 world championship at Yatabe Arena in Japan.

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Quite rare to find one in this condition, it's obviously been well stored for all those years as there is no corrosion to see , you should be very happy with it .
Do you intend to keep it and run it or is it going on a display shelf ? I'm not really into shelf queens but that one is really mint condition and if you want a runner then I'd consider getting a second car to run and saving this one or selling it to someone who wants a display car .
Thanks for sharing .

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Hello,
Thanks for the information and nice comments. I have not yet decided what to do with it, 1/10 electric cars is not really my thing, but i like this car. I will not run it, if not keeping i will sell to someone that will take good care of it.

It's kind of like your Losi bodies from earlier this year in the end, then
Some serious NOS (or close) find of stuff that is totally uber-desirable
how about just asking for BST access, would be much easier?

Hello
Depends on what you want to do...
If you want to to make a stunning shelf queen keep it.
If you plan on running it I would sell that one and find something with a few more miles on it and enjoy that.
At one time I had 4 YZ10 cars (1x Mint 94, 2x Runner 94 and 1 Runner Pavidis WCS). I don't plan on doing the vintage race thing but I have some local spots I like to go and have fun. The car is super durable and I have spares. I sold all (and made quite a bit of money off of them) but my main 94 Runner which is blinged out...love it...one is enough:)

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Anytime someone has a *mint* YZ10, or really any mint vintage 4wd buggy of high value, I would tend to encourage them to hang onto it and get a second one as a runner, if they can afford to. What you have there is a great example, and just remember that if you sell it, it's gone forever. That's why I have about 100 r/c cars now

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
It’s a very nice example you’ve got but it’s not got the correct front arms, so for me rings alarm bells. It’s should have lightened front arms the same as the rear so if it was built from a kit why were they not in there???

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Probably just a quality issue? rest of unopened packaging looks legit to be fair.
Were the lightened arms only in this kit?
Great score by the way.

Could have been a model shop 'borrowed' part, my local shop always took parts put of kits at race meetings if the spares were needed. Didn't the WCS have lightened arms?

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Only the 95 came with the lightened arms he 93 WCS came with e same arms as the 94 or vice versa. I’d be surprised the popped the seal to swap out arms for the wrong ones especially when the kits were so much but you never know.
The correct front arms are around f you look hard enough and are willing to pay.
The 97 was just retro fit towers, top deck and wheel hubs so the 95 was the last kit produced.

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Hello,
Thanks for the information, but I am pretty sure they are the correct ones, from the cars i have compared to they have the same arms. And i also sold an extra set on ebay, they look exactly the same. The guy that i bought it from had a list and the it said ZD406L as you mentioned.

Re: Yokomo Pavidis?
Hello
The front and rear arms should have lightened sections.
I had one of these I recently sold. I can add some high res pictures of the front and rear arms for reference if that is something you all want to see:)
Enjoy the sweet car!
