HPI wheel question
HPI wheel question
Ok another dumb question for you guys. How are the HPI wheels supposed to mount on the front of the 10t/t2 series trucks. I have the front collar adapter kit and there isn't one in that kit that fits. Of course they don't have instructions with them, that would be too easy. Im sure Im doning something wrong and I need some help to think outside the box. HPI has crappy support and haven't responded to an email I sent 3 weeks ago!!!!

Re: HPI wheel question
hpi has wheels that are designed specifically for the 10t, so no adapters should be needed. which wheels do you have?

your having issues mounting the front rims, right? reason i ask is because it looks like they don't have a front version of this style rim, just rears. you need ones like these, with the matching rears, of course.............

Re: HPI wheel question

Re: HPI wheel question
Their tech notes read "some traxxas front". They say nothing about associated fronts. When they mention T2, T3, Etc..they mean for the rear. Sometimes Towers tech notes are worse than if they said nothing. The link to the front adaptor kit is very misleading. That kit will not work on hex drive wheels. HPI only makes the spike wheels with a hex drive on the back. No adaptor set is going to convert this to a 2WD front axle. The last 2 links scr8p provided would be your best bet on having a smooth install on a 10 or 10T.

Re: HPI wheel question
Or you can try these...........

They come in alot of other colors. Hit the "possible substitution" link on the left of the screen for the other colors.
Another thing I noticed on Towers tech notes is they have dates near the bottom of the description. Most of the newer black molded RC10 parts still say "white nylon" in the description, but they show the black part in the picture.
