Hi,
I decided to resurrect my old zxr mk2. When I switch it on the light on the speed controller is solid red. The servo works fine but the motor respond to the transmitter.
The manual says to move the receiver cable to another socket. When I try this the motor spins up fine with the left/right on the transmitter. When I move the receiver cable back to battery, the motor starts and just stays on. Where is the problem here? Thanks
Esc needs to plug into channel 2 not battery. Once in channel 2, thats when you will need to make your adjustments.

Hey, yeah if I plug it into channel 2 the motor spins up and is controllable, but only backward! Pushing the receiver control forward only seems to brake.
You need to flip the servo reversing switch on the transmitter. Then you will also need to flip the motor wires if it runs in reverse (make sure if you have a diode attached it is properly oriented!!!). That speed control doesn’t have reverse, only forward and brake.

The only way the motor can spin backwards is if you removed and spun the end bell 180 degrees, or if you changed its direction mechanically- like in a vehicle with bevel gear diff installed backwards or a mid motor conversion

Evening all! I was lucky enough to score what looks to be a good working condition Novak 410-HPc esc last night! Been looking for one for a while as a backup to an excellent condition 410-M1c I scored from a great guy/seller a few months back. Photo...

The JR plug will plug into a Futaba J slot. The white wire goes to the side with the tap.
Just be sure that it isn't pinned for the early Airtronics plug.
While waiting on parts I decided to refurbish a Novak HPc ESC.
Birchwood Casey aluminum black is really helpful when tidying up the cooling flanges.
The Novus 7136 plastic polish kit does the trick on the housing, a light rub with alcohol on the...

I have never had much luck with my Novus system for some reason. Maybe just the wrong plastics, or needing more work prior to polishing. I will give it a try on my next Novak refresh. Thanks!
I recently aquired a Novak 410-HPC. It looks as if the Red, blue and black wires were replaced. Can anyone tell me what gauge wire the HPC came with? Were each of the wires the same gauge?
I have a 410-Mxc with a bad FET I think. Works great until about half throttle then the power drops off considerably and the motor starts doing the funky chicken . I have tried to find some schematics but Novak holds them pretty close. I am...
Well heres the skinny guys and gals, I've had this little esc for ages and it has always worked like a champ until, wait for it..... I put my RC10 up for about ten years. I brought my buggy out of a box! snagged a new 3800 mah battery off of the...

Teman, thanks for the visual.
Gomachv, I fear the old esc is shot maybe. I can't get the motor to stop with the pots and like I have mentioned the motor is going full blast when I plug it to the esc, regardless if the esc is on or not. The nice...
Anyone know the why or when the changes in the Novak 410-M1c took place?
Just noticed on another thread that the 410-M1c I have, same as the one pictured in the “Novak ESC timeline” thread and in the RCCA CL RC10T article are the same. However I’ve...
Hey guys, I have a bunch of Novak ESC's, some new some not. I have a new one that came with its box and accessories, but the actual ESC is different to the picture on the box. The box shows it with the pop fuse, but the actual unit doesn't have it....

read the gold round sticker on the box and it explains it all ;)
