Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
There was discussion about this diff before. This diff was designed by Thorp and sold through Thorp, MRP and Leisure.
The metal parts were the same for all of these diffs, differences were for plastic parts. MRP made their own parts, Leisure used at least the Thorp spur. For the wheel I´m not sure atm. I think your diff is Thorp.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I think no Com-Com. They used very special graphite plates which look quite different. I have a Com-Com RC10 shock tower somewhere. Trying to find and post a photo.aip47-2008 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 21, 2018 10:45 pmFront Shock tower looks to be Com Com Kyosho Lazer zxrStibing wrote: ↑Tue Apr 17, 2018 8:20 am Hi,
I am "cleaning" in the hobby room, found some strange bodys and parts, anyone know what it is?
The Kyosho parts is for a boat, anyone know which model? Marked Kyosho 2032 - Super Screw set 20 and Kyosho 2042 - Super engine parts set 20.
Many thanks for the help!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Anyone have some info on ART bodies? Hard to search on since ART is such a common word when it relates to RC bodies. I got a hold of some, I think, old 8th scale bodies but wanted to find more info on them.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Perhaps?
Never heard of it abbreviated always just called it Advance. But that would make sense I suppose. I will have to search on that and see what I find for bodies.
Thanks

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
If it's written "ART" on the header card then it's not Advanced Racing Tech. There were a bunch of different companies with Advance(d) names back in the mid 80's/early 90's so I always use A.R.T. when talking about the Agitator. Advance to me is Advance Eng. & Mfg....the co best known for Mini-Mags. Advanced Racing Products is another popular one...they made the mid-motor conversion chassis for the RC10 with the slick aluminum rear bulkhead.
I would've been surprised to hear that Advanced Racing Tech made bodies, or anything 8th scale, which is why I asked if that's who you meant. I could've helped you out with contact info for them though.

Was one of those the maker of the Race Case as well? Or was that yet another Advance?

Kinda. Advanced R/C Products made the cases but, ironically I think RCCA must've confused the names that issue and listed them as Advanced R/C Racing.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Ok, I give up. I need help on these. Thought had figured out but then measured the 2 mount holes and realized it was wrong for the off-road adapters I see in their paperwork. Now I think there are for some on-road thing but they don't fit 1/12th hub holes. Mount holes do fit 1/10th pan car on a rc10l but that center hole is just a bit undersized to fit on my rc10l. Probably could force on there. Might just be tolerances are really close. But the width of this rim is 1.5" so little narrower than your normal wider 10l wheel. All Advance paperwork I can find only talks about 1/12 or 8th scale on-road. So any ideas?
They are 1.74 in diameter and 1.50 width, with mount holes of .90 from approx centers apart.
Here is one of the more informative files I found. http://www.dirt-burners.com/rcdox/Catalogs/Mini-Mags/1987%20-%20Mini-Mags%20Catalog.pdf

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Yokomo mourning holes are 18mm apart (.7087”) and the center hole needs to be 12mm for it to center
MRP 1/10 pan cars used a non standard bolt pattern of .8” across center to center
I measured a 10L hub and it was right at 15/16 (.9375”)
Oh, and Parma 1/12 used 1/10 bolt pattern wheels- the center hole is 5/8” so I doubt that helps you. I think that’s the same as standard 1/10
I’m at a loss of one that would be around the .9” mark but I figured those numbers would help rule out those applications.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Yeah everything points to RC10L or Bolink but the width of rims is oddly narrow. I mean the RC10L is like perfect if a bit small for that center hole. Maybe a dragster wheel?GoMachV wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:30 pm Yokomo mourning holes are 18mm apart (.7087”) and the center hole needs to be 12mm for it to center

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Some of the capped tires for super speedway/velodrome were narrower, but it seems unlikely that they would use an aluminum wheel for that application lol.
