Smart Dampening System - Cool
Has anyone seen this setup by matsucars? It incorporates 4 Servo's and a quad servo control box, which adjust the suspension when the vehicle get's angled. Very Cool idea.

Re: Smart Dampening System - Cool
Looks pretty cool but only for crawlers ? Could it ever be fast enough to react to racing ? It probably could with the right servos but I'd imagine the weight would make it a disadvantage for racers.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

That's cool... it's mercedes' ABC for 10th scale, it helps willy driver not to throw up
for onroad racing, there's not enough roll/pitch any to justify the system.
For offroad, I don't see how this could be fast/smart enough...
but it certainly is really cool

Re: Smart Dampening System - Cool
The electronics ,gyro's etc would definitely be fast enough but the servo's might not , I fly heli's as well and the micro size gyro systems these days would easily cope , think about all the drones that virtually fly themselves even in strong winds , the electronics is plenty fast enough it's the mechanicals that might lag .

Re: Smart Dampening System - Cool
finding or making strong enough servos that are fast enough would be the hard part. I am shocked (lol) we havent seen magnetorheological shocks in RC yet. I suspect its coming though!
