Re: New built Cougar 2 TEAM
Love that box art paintjobt!
And it reminds me when I was younger. I raced a Kyosho Lazer ZX Sport at that time and was so jealous seeing the Team Cougars with their anodised chassis and all of that tricked out stuff ... Hope to find a NIB or a NB one day.

Re: New built Cougar 2 TEAM
Aaaaaaah... but for TRUE box art (and really it's the ad) you need the prototype shock towers and black annodised shock bodies..Minicooper 35 wrote:Love that box art paintjobt!
I was tempted once, when i was a bit obsessive about schueys to build a Box art one with the differences above. I actually made a prototype shock tower from G10 which I have somewhere that looks like the one in the Ads.
This car means a hell of a lot to me as it was the car that persuaded me to race RCs..

Re: New built Cougar 2 TEAM
Same here - C2 Team was my first 2WD race car. I loved it but could never get enough servo throw to make it steer properly. Rubbish Acoms cheapo radio Even so, it was faster than the gold tub RC10's at my club, but weaker. The chassis bent real easy in front of the gearbox from jumps.....hkp wrote: This car means a hell of a lot to me as it was the car that persuaded me to race RCs..

Re: New built Cougar 2 TEAM
I never bent a cougar, but the front variable angle bulkhead screws used to strip out of the bulkhead and the same on the rear bulkheads
I then moved to an RC10 which I must admit was bulletproof
