Doesn't surprise me. eBay had their own payment system in the early days, until they acquired PayPal. PayPal's split from eBay in 2015 was not a pleasant one, so I am sure eBay wants to drive as much business away from them as possible.

In an ideal situation Paypal would look to partner up with, or even buy out an auction site to compete with eBay.

With normal shipping costs, that would put ebay in a bind :lol:
