Found a NIB Turbo Burns including NIB O.S. .21RX-B!
Found a NIB Turbo Burns including NIB O.S. .21RX-B!
so I scored this on craigslist and it seems like the more I search the more I find this is the one that everybody wanted back in the day. It even came with the hottest engine O.S. had back then the .21RX-B nib and even has a really cool O.S. engine line up pamphlet. The turbo burns has all but one bag still stapled shut with the tags. I am torn between leaving it all in the box, building it and not running it, building it and running it, or seeing if there is much profit in there for someone that may have been dying for it while I never was, but am simply amazing by this great vintage time capsule. Pics below, let me know your thoughts!

It´s a nice kit.
Put it on Ebay and see what happens - no one in here is going to pay crazy money for it.
If You decide to build it, please make a build thread with plenty of pictures.

Thanks, yeah I don't want to put it on Ebay and end up obligated to sell it. I would enjoy building it but if the right offer was there I would consider selling it. Most likely I will just end up building it but I guess I am curious what value it has as I did throw the seller my best educated offer. I am more into RC planes but have just gotten really interested again in the vintage car stuff while bringing my old HPI stuff back to life.

Please have a read through the rules. We love seeing your find- it’s a nice lot you found! But we are not the antiques roadshow- we don’t give valuations. Also, there is no selling outside the BST area. Please feel free to start a build thread and enjoy the kit, or move it along to eBay if your just in it for the money

No worries and thanks for the heads up, sorry for not going through the rules as of yet. Any ideas into what would be the proper vintage futaba gear for this thing, was FM around at this time? I am 32 so I was only about 6 when this was around haha.

It would be nice if there was a big and well known site for trading across the different branches of RC.
If You don´t want to sell it "too" cheap, You can ebay it with a fixed price and the make offer option.
Our politics goes against valuating - so there´s not going to be much help there.

well Dennis, it’s not like it would be accurate anyway- you pay like 40% more than anyone else by the time you pay your duties
FM and PCM were around. I think I would aim for a Futaba 2PDF or 3PB and a pair of 9301 servos

GomachV would be better at answering this -
But yes, FM was around at that time - a good radio would´ve been a Megatech or Magnum

I’d move there, I just don’t think my router would run off your mains, so that’s a problem
