This topic will act as a way for me to convey any news regarding the forum that I feel members should be aware of.

I was looking in depth at the main page of the forums last night, and realized the spelling and punctuation of everything was a mess. I spent a bunch of time fixing it all, and rewording some of it as well. Now it looks a lot cleaner and more professional.

Alright, just like the majority of you, I hate this Lucid Lime theme. It was installed after the board was updated as there was no other choice at the time. That was then, this is now. There still aren't that many choices that would work for us here but I did find two that are far superior to this Lucid Lime one. The only negative is that they're both blue. I mean it's not a negative to me but I know people here prefer a goldish/orange theme. There's only one offered in those colors, and it's no good. The overall look is lacking, and some of the font is blurry and hard to read which can't be fixed.

One of my biggest pet peeves with forums are when they're a stupid strip down the middle of the screen. What is the point of that? There isn't one. The two blue themes I found are full size that extend across the screen. One of them even puts the usernames back on the left side like they're supposed to be.

So the question is, do you mind if I install a new default theme that's better than the current Lucid Lime one? I value your opinions, and didn't want to do it without getting them first.

Alright, I installed the two new styles. The first is called AcidTech, and the second is simply called Black. You can choose which one you want to use by going to 'Board Preferences' in your 'User Control Panel' and selecting either one from the drop-down list.

I like both better than the old one mostly. I did like the narrower fixed with of the lime board though. Between the new choices I have chose the Black. Acidtech is such an old theme used on so many sites I have gown tired of it. Thanks for all the work you have done and I cant wait to see whats next.

I respect the work behind this for sure I'm struggling to read blue on black (as opposed to lime green, for instance) though...

Yeah, it's a bit of an issue for me as well. Especially on my phone. But, the hope is to get it back to the orange/gold of the old board...... whether or not that is an option we will have to see.

I'm glad the left side avatars are back though.

The blue so far is OK for me. The other theme with the red on black/grey is tougher though.

the left side avatars look good on PC, it looks like they are on top on phone. Is that my phone setting or due to mobile layout? doesn't bother me just curious.
