Jamie did have better paint jobs over that year, but not with that wing! I have pics if you need them.

Hi Luke
, Jamie is really happy for the old pics.
I take if you have others pics, at the WC in 89 the body was pink and silver...

Luke - your name 'rings a bell' - possibly from magazine race reports back in the day, I presume you are/were an acomplished racer?
I was trying to do a replica (shell at least) Jamie Booth Top Cat.... I wonder if you have any photos of his 2wd car? I've contacted JB myself (I'm an SMD driver) but despite looking for me he personally has got any photos..... if his shells are as dull as his CAT's, I might stick to my original plan of doing a Phil Davies design shell

Re: CAT XLS Jamie Booth Rep 89
Hi there,
Pierre, Jamie had a few different shells that year, the one he used at the 89 Worlds was a different design, but was an Cat rather than ProCat shell. He then changed to the ProCat for the bury national in the UK and ran a pink shell with white lines.
I have pictures of most of the shells I think. Would you like me to post them?
Dan, yes I raced with Jamie in the Kyosho team for a good few years and still keep in contact with him. He had a few Top Cat shells, one where he stood the shocks upright, some were white with pink lines and the 89 worlds shell was pink with white lines like his ProCat shell. I'll post some pics if its useful?

Re: CAT XLS Jamie Booth Rep 89
Hi Pierre,
I have attached a selection of top UK drivers cats from the period. I have also attached the pink shell that Jamie moved to when he moved to the procat. There was another shell Jamie had inbetween this but it wasn't in focus in the pics I had.
I hope they help,
Luke

Re: CAT XLS Jamie Booth Rep 89
Ha I always figured Jamie would be a recluse by now, fearful of all the fans (including me) who build replicas of his cars. In reality I hope he's proud that he has inspired so many people to build replicas of his cars, the guy finished second in the 91 euros with an astute, amazing stuffLonestar wrote:Super replique
Maybe you can ask JB himself? He's quite easy to get in touch with

Re: CAT XLS Jamie Booth Rep 89
Finally I paint the body, but I make a mix with the color and here's the results:

Re: CAT XLS Jamie Booth Rep 89
That's so cool,
Any ideas if that's what Jamie's 89 worlds Topcat looked like as I need to finish this off

I know it was pink but I can't find a clear photo of it. I would be interested in a set of those decals though

Very nice job, prp...I do like those Cats. If there's one car I'd like to add to my collection (that's not a FrankenMutt, anyway), it would be a Schuey.
