Oh no problem. I always put the receivers and ESCs on the pan. I ran an original RC10 with the ESC on the shock tower before, and I never like the way it handled. Since then, I keep everything as low as I can get it. :)

As I work on this car, I remembered that this was probably the last RC10 I ever owned before the B4 I had last winter. One the Stealth came out, I was already on to other types of cars. I don't even recall ever owning an original white Stealth, actually.

This car was out in like 1990, right? Is it just me, or was Associated REALLY far behind the technology curve? I mean, at this point, Losi had the JRX2 out for almost 2 years already with superior quality parts and fit. And the RC10 had battery cups that didn't fit the batteries of the day, infinitely brittle steering bellcranks and finally their first bottom-loaded shocks. It's been reminding me how primitive the cars were for a LONG time. Funny thing is, in so many photos of Associated team guy's cars, they are almost always using Losi tires, too. I'm trying to remember an Associated tire out of the package that was usable on the track...

Actually, the Stealth equipped Team cars didn't reach the market until mid 1991, and yours is from 1992/early 1993.

Heh, so they were even FURTHER behind the times. Figures. Hasn't changed much today, either. ;)

pan car foams. :)

i always ran my esc on the rear tower on my graphite team car. i felt it was a safer place for it to be, instead of hanging off the side of the chassis.

i too sand my diff rings and shim my tranny cases in the way doug mentioned. it does take longer to re build build a tranny but the results are well worth it, trust me. yeah, and people ask me why i have a back up transmission in my pit box. its for when you have one of thoes oh sh** nights and there is just no time to do a proper rebuild, just toss in the old back up and rebuild at home.
