Front Axle Length

Post by scr8p »

I'd like to find out how much shorter the T4 inline axle (7459) is compared to the gt wide axle (7222), and also how much longer the t4 axle is compared to the standard rc10/10t/ds axle (6220). Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to make something work without buying stuff I don't need.

this may be helpful, Niki trimmed a wheel and used those axles to get a narrow style rim, so maybe it's the length of the trimmed section?

I found the measurements of the wide and t4 axles on rcplanet.com. The T4 looks to be 3mm shorter, which would probably work for what I am wanting to do........ as long as the kingpin hole is in the same location. The measurements they give are total length.

some quick picture manipulation looks like it's maybe 1/8" shorter than the gt axle. (2 rings?)
