Dude, it's a holiday weekend, cops are out in full force, as are the stupid people. I'd bet a very large amount of cash that the bar was not discriminating, it was trying to protect both you and themselves. You get popped for DUI and the bar takes heat for serving a drink to a drunk, not to mention the very expensive load of crap you get to go through for getting popped by the cops.

Relax, drink at home, have your good time where you won't be harmed by others or a threat to anyone else.

Hey! who is this guy :!: :?:

Someone must've high jacked Halgar's account cuz this kinda makes sense and full of logic.

You heard it here first but I think I'm gonna agree with Halgar on this one Don. Think the bartender was all about covering everyone's bases. If you know him maybe he was lookin out for you and trying to protect you like you did for him so long ago 8)

Thanx for your service Don (and all vets!) and hope you got your fair share of drinks...

Todd

I suppose that could be the reason...
I'm an officer at my local American Legion, and my mother-in-law was a bartender there for quite a while. I've never heard of anything like that.
Hopefully that's all it was, Don - and he didn't mean any disrespect.

Thank you for your service, but that gives you no right to disrespect that waitress! Sorry Don but you are wrong!

I'd try a different bar if you feel disrespected. They come in all different flavors. I know I've made some excellent decisions while intoxicated. Given your history of heart attacks, it might be wise to limit your beer consumption. My step sons father died a few weeks ago at 53 after years of alcohol and substance abuse. That's way too soon. He'll never get to see his son grow up. We're all getting older and we can't party like rock stars anymore. Our bodies just can't take it. It's all a matter of perspective but their limit may have been your blessing in disguise.
