Just ordered a Re Re WC
Every time I click around here I see a bunch of ReRe World's Cars being built so I couldn't take it anymore and bought one. I called up Stormer Hobbies and talked to a guy for a bit and he let me get one for 149 shipped. At the moment, I have no plans to build it. It'll just go in the cave on a shelf. Assuming that ONE DAY I'll decide to open it up and build it, I guess I should get a screw kit. I see those are crap on the Re Re. Also I see talk about transmission being poor quality. Anything else? I'd like to get the parts that need replacing to have on hand "just in case" I decide to build it one day.
In the mean time I have about 5 cars on their way in various stages of needing help. Should be a fun project and my daughter loves to hand me parts when I'm working on stuff.

Re: Just ordered a Re Re WC
I thought the kit might be collectible like the classic, but 2 years later they are still selling it. I originally bought 2, one to build and one to leave sealed and stick in the closet. I ended up selling the second one to a buddy that is building it as well.
Tear it open and BUILD IT!

Re: Just ordered a Re Re WC
It came in yesterday. I also went kind of nuts buying parts lots and now have 3 complete cars torn down on my workbench and 4 more on their way. (My Oakey collecting has taken a backseat for a minute lol) When and if I do build it, it'll probably be when I have nothing else to build and get bored. Until then it'll sit on the shelf next to the original box. I am going to go ahead and get the replacement parts though.
EDIT: Just saw you're in Ormond Beach. I have a good friend that lives there. Small world lol
