So (with your measurements) a 2mm narrower hex, or a 3mm clamping hex is what's needed to make it legal width? With a quick search, I can't seem to find any in that thickness...

I did quite a bit of measuring yesterday. I will be swapping back to stock AE parts. The outside to outside hex is 1/4" too wide. That is with my thinnest set of hexes I own. Its no bueno

Say (for example) you didn't care as much about having a quadra-symmetric suspension as having trailing axle, caster options and hex front wheels... you could have some slightly shorter arms made that keep it legal width. Has anyone drawn up an arm for a buggy with 10T front with the B4 caster/steering blocks?

I installed B4 caster/steering blocks on my mid-quadra car. This is with the factory team 5mm clamping hex's. I set camber and toe near zero and measured the width by a crude method which was two boxes and a tape measure. It would have been prudent to measure the base quadra setup with b4 wheels first using the same method, but I forgot... and I'll have to do that when I have more time. I did check it with the tape measure after building and it was right at 250mm. The tricky thing about width is it varies slightly by wheel/tire. How did you account for this Niki?

Joey, you said 1/4" which is 6.35mm
I think it's safe to say it would be legal with the arms being 3.5mm shorter, making the width 7mm less. Maybe 4mm shorter to give a small margin for error and still keep near maximum width?

Can you provide a link or contact info for the shock towers and battery box? I assume the front shock tower is specific to the gt front bulkhead vs the rc10? I see a shock tower on rccarbonworks.com listed as the worlds hybrid front carbon tower.. Will that work? Looks sweet!!!

GoMachV made my towers and designed/made the battery holder. His stuff is top notch, on all of my cars.

I havent posted much about the car, but have some info:

Full Quadra set up: Raced it, busted a rear arm mount. Wrong spring & wrong tires, bad set up made the car push.

Pulled the front hex off and went to 'standard' rc10 stuff (fixed part of the set up)
Changed the rear camber link (shorter)
Put 'stock rc10' rear arm mounts, arms, cvds on

Ran the 1/2 Quadra set up: MUCH better rear end rotation, still need to work on springs, but traveled light to the track and forgot to grab springs. Was pushing the car hard at the end of the straight, trying to see where the point of not being able to get it to turn is...found it bad way, shattered a front arm. Took a really hard hit into a brick wall. Car jumped and rotated very well, was ballistic fast.

Main things I learned...sideways lipo tray (GoMachV) works fine. Wish I had brought my tuning parts to play with shock springs some, and didnt push so hard into the wall (completely my fault).
