Help: What front shock tower replaces stock junior2/t tower
Rebuilding 2 losis(1 junior t converted to jrxt and a jrxpro se mix part buggy converted to a junior2), as of now they have junior2/t front shocktowers.Been trolling ebay for a deal on a graphite/fiberglass font tower but I'm not sure what works (been an ae guy most my life). Think jrxt and jrx pro front towers are too long, and jrx2 towers are too short, right?Do Jrx pro (SE), lxt or nxt front towers work? my main concern is front towers but if you know what works for the rear that's good too. Any info will be great ,been lookin at old losi manuals and I'm still not sure what works. Thanks

Re: Help: What front shock tower replaces stock junior2/t to
I'm only a minor vintage Losi expert on some models. I haven't owned a Pro, Pro SE, Junior T or NXT... yet. Anyway, I think the Jrx-2, Pro SE and Junior 2 all used the same length shocks. I also think the Jrx-T, Pro and Junior T all use the same length shocks, which were longer than the others. The LXT and NXT used vastly different front shock towers due to the extended suspension arms and different geometry. I know that any Jrx based shock towers will physically fit on any Jrx based chassis, from the Jrx-2 through the LXT. Hopefully, a more expertly expert can verify or deny. Would love to see some photos when you have a chance. Photos are good!

Re: Help: What front shock tower replaces stock junior2/t to
thanks for info and help.. I thought the same thing and almost bought a jrtx,or jrxpro front tower for my junior t . problem is junior 2 and junior t are same towers. was going to get a pro se mount cause think it said its a .6 shock body like the junior t but the arms on that car are different then junior t. I don't want to spend $15 for a part that I don't use cause makes the stance off.

Original jrx2 or pro SE shock tower is the easiest fit, same length shocks. Pro se arms are swept, but the tower will still fit and work with stock arms. A pro is way too long, same as a truck. The hardest and most expensive part will probably be the shock bushings!
I might have a jrx2 tower in my bin...ill have a look tonight

So the Junior 2 and Junior T use the same front shocks and towers? Huh, learned something new.

If you have a graphite chassis, any front shock tower from the JRX series will physically fit. If you have a molded chassis with the top plate, the Pro-Se, and Junior 2/T towers fit. The rest would have to be modified.

thanks ,but don't stress about it. looking for a jrx2 or jrx pro SE front tower. ill pm you if I get in need for 1 .I just like to know what to look for when I'm on ebay looking at parts, part lots, part cars.i found a jrx pro SE tower for $9 ,but I'm the kind of person that rather pay $40 for a parts lot or parts car with the parts I need.slapshot1979 wrote:My heads spinning, got dizzy had to sit down.I have a few old towers here.
