Modern-ish Stealth in a RC10

Post by Nero45 »

Hello,

Well I've tried every angle of getting a stealth for my RC10 short of parting one together. So I wonder would it be possible to use a newer model RC10 TX or RC10 BX (X = enter model number) stealth transmission that will work with the classic RC10?

The stealth tranny is all over ebay if thats what you are trying to put in your classic gold pan. My last one I never intended to own but when I win one complete with motor plate and slipper for $16 and change I'll take it.

In other words there is no drop in method for any other stealth tranny besides the rc10 and rc10t stealth...unless you are into some serious modifying and tinkering.

There should be no reason why you can't put the correct one in your RC10. Parts are easy to come by, and even complete transmissions. I've built two by just buying the needed parts off ebay, and using up what I had lying around. One was a stock tranny with the B4 slipper (a must upgrade, and super easy to do), and the second was an all metal gear unit which sits on the shelf for a time when (if ever) my current one dies.

I wouldn't bother with the newer ones, since you'll be left with mounting problems, and they don't work any better than the original stealths. Those originals are REALLY good transmissions, and hold up to Lipo and brushless just fine.
