Is anyone still playing with or sitting on an RC10 Classic?
Is anyone still running a classic, did you drive yours a few times, did you build it and put straight on the shelf, have you at least cracked the seal on the box or did you just stash it NIB?
I originally bought two, one to build for the shelf and one to stash. Both are still sitting sealed in their boxes.

Bought 2, traded one off, built the other and later sold it.

Bought two. One is still sealed in the tower hobbies box it came in and I built the other one with a bunch of Dhawk aluminum parts.

I see on eBay they are listing NIB ones for like $460... are they really selling for that much now?
The track I run at has two NIB ones on the wall, maybe I should try to buy them off him

I built one (still need to paint the body), and have another sealed up in the Tower Hobbies box with writing on the outside that says "Open in 20 years".

I bought one and built/painted it. I've seen a few at shops here and there for $400+ and gathering dust.

I have one built up but unpainted. I also have a World's car built and painted, and that one I am running. Have a second one that's new in box and unbuilt.

I've got two. One runner which sees periodic use. Plus one sealed classic.

I'm a little surprised you guys don't have more.
I think I got a little too excited AE was doing a re-release, since it's not a usual practice of theirs. Their display at the Long Beach Convention Center w Don playing security and Eustace Moore visiting it w enthusiasm also made the re-release something to look forward to. I have if im remembering correctly.... 5-6 Classic Kits. 2 from the preorder at tower, 2 from a second batch tower received, 1 from a hobby shop on eBay at $250 per, and 1 from a local hobby shop which was the most expensive kit at $280 with ca sales tax. They are all still sealed in their boxes. I thought it might be the only time I could get extra parts collectively that cheap.
For the worlds I went to one of the first races in Huntington Beach where BK raced it along side Jason from J Concepts. Super exciting and once again went a little overboard. I have 4-5 of the worlds re-re kits. Opened one kit and planned on building it but put on hold when I heard about the gear box issues. I did contact Don at AE and he sent me a sets of the gears for two of my kits but then heard it was more to do with the case.
My three kids 5,3,1 occupy most of my time. One if these days I'll go through what I have, build some and sell the rest.

Re: Is anyone still playing with or sitting on an RC10 Class
I bought one already built off Ebay for around $200. It is OK, but feels different than the originals. I built a re-re worlds and shelf queened it, and have another unopened. I have been mostly playing with older B stamped models and bashing the hell out of them with upgrades/replacements from re-re and aftermarket parts. I also like to buy really cheap 6 gear beaters to take apart, clean all the parts, and toss into a box. Not much interest in running a 6 gear now, but figure an ever growing box full vintage 6 gear cars/parts may interest me some day.

Re: Is anyone still playing with or sitting on an RC10 Class
I recently sold a sealed one on ebay. It sat there for two weeks and sold for $379 including shipping. I panicked and bought one and it sat on the shelf for a long time. I basically got my money back out of it. They are asking a lot for them but they don't seem to be selling them. I think the worlds car has something to do with that. My 2 cents.

Re: Is anyone still playing with or sitting on an RC10 Class
One sold on Craig's near me a couple months ago. He started to build it but lost interest; it was all there... as I recall, he was listing it for $150. Guess I should have been more interested...
