A stamp build for Fathers day.. Go Hawks!

Post by sschering »

This year for fathers day I decided to give my dad the A stamp he bought me back in 1985.

It needed a little love since it's been in a closet for a few decades.

I had Larry at Kustom RC Graphics handle the paint work for my dad's favorite football team..

The Team KnK screw kit arrived yesterday so today was build day..

First thing was to strip it down and start cleaning.. All the nylon parts went in a pile for re-dying.

The plastics went in for a blue bath and came out better than wen I did it 30 years ago.. Nice dark blue.

With help from my daughter we built up the chassis and got it dressed for pictures.

Fathers day A stamp build is done..

Post by sschering »

I finally wrapped up all the little things on the A stamp build and got it ready to deliver to my dad on Sunday.

It was fun driving this thing for the first time in 10 years.

It's set up with my old Novak Rooster ESC and a Ballistic green can motor (specs unknown)
I was surprised how well thing thing runs after all these years. I thought I could get away with not gluing the tires but it tried to eject them on the first run.

Nice cleanup job.

Your rear arm mounts are on backwards. FYI.
