I recently divested myself of all things Raider, otherwise I would have been able to help you out. A couple of them came from you originally anyway, I think... at one point I had five of the stupid things...

Oddly, I wasn't looking for any. Two got thrown in with deals for other cars I wanted, Jeff pawned off two on me (trades for something, but I don't recall what anymore), and somehow I accumulated enough parts to build a fifth.Incredible_Serious wrote:I know there's a sucker born every minute and everything, but.... And really, they're not bad little cars. Kinda fun to drive. There are just other cars I like better, and I only have so much room and money.

Nice going GomachV
Can you make a shot from a different angle on the front shocktower please?
12mm hexes... carefull with the wheels you select: the ones from the 22 etc have a much thicker crossection which makes it impossible to get your locknut on.
Also, look for something with a little more offset than most current 12mm hex wheels. The 1/16 E-revo wheels are usable for example

I wanted them as vertical as possible because the lower shock mount point is so far in. The two holes unused will be used when I get some adjustable ball ends on it. They brace the bulkhead nicely
We need some delrin arms. Hey, I think I can make those too

Sounds great, but you're right: a raider build is a reader build.
I do hope to one day see another project though: a car you design and make every part possible yourself for.

Re: Taking a Raider to the next level.... (aint saying much!
I've never personally tried it but as far as I know, A rear shock tower and trans top cover from a Rocky fits the Raider. The shock tower is aluminum, and the trans top cover is I think pot metal which adds rigidity to the rest of the trans.
The other day I unearthed my Raider Pro to put on eBay but fell in love with it again after seeing/remembering how mint it was.

Yes both the tower and gear cover are compatible. I copied the bottom half of the rocky tower for this g10 tower. I need a cast cover for my rocky actually. I keep forgetting to look for one

New upright rear shock positions, updated front tower, and got rid of the blue
