I have a nice Andy's B3 body I bought for another B3 build still in the package if you are interested. Or you might be going all stock.
Yes sir... all stock with this one

Re: All New RC10B3 Factory Team Build
Finally started my build. I'm following the manual step by step. Sure takes longer than I expected. It takes time to locate part numbers, take all these new parts out of the package, etc. It's been a fun night tho

Re: All New RC10B3 Factory Team Build
I'm about as far as I can go now. Almost finished it off! I started on the front shocks, only to discover that one shock body was packaged incorrectly many moons ago... Oh well. I'll start my eBay search for another correct shock body. Need a pinion gear before installing the motor too.
Until next time, enjoy some pics of today's progress.

Wing is done and body is trimmed and fitted. I have another front shock body ordered so hopefully I can get the front shocks built this week.

I got around to building and installing the front shocks finally. Also picked up the correct "2 Hole" rear hubs. I'll change those out at some point.

Just scrolling through the pics and was wondering about the rear hubs and at the end I see you fixed it!
Nice build btw!
Any paint going on it? Box art? Masami TQ add is my favorite!

Yeah, those 3 Hole hubs bothered me. Associated likes to change parts but keep the same part numbers! I plan to paint the body at some point... Probably my own take on box art. Thanks for the compliment too.

Looking good!
But I'd have all your tie rods point the same way. That way, they all adjust the same to go in or out.

Re: All New RC10B3 Factory Team Build
I was thinking about it. If any come my way that is.... I had an original gold RC10 in the 80's. i wasn't around for the 90's or 2000's so I am not familiar with what was available during any of those time frames. I have a Novak 410-M5 ESC that is pretty nice but not sure if it would be correct for this car. I assumed it was a little older than the car.mikea96 wrote:Very nice i like it! Re: All New RC10B3 Factory Team Build
Being as though it's a factory team b3, I'd go with competition level electronics of the period. Not exactly sure when the FT came out, but I think you'd be good with an Lrp v7.1 or Quantum esc and Lrp phaser receiver combo.... with a Reedy Ti mod and some 3000 cells. Or a Novak Cyclone esc and XXL receiver.
