RC10B3 LWB vs. SWB

Post by skunk.werkz »

I have a RC10b3 project that I recently rebuilt and I bought the B3 body available from tower but its way too short for the chassis. I know when I bought the car the seller had mentioned something about a long wheel base and I know from the manual that there was a short wheel base chassis that you could get.

What I need to know is what chassis came standard in the B3 kits and if I have a LWB chassis, where do I find a body that properly fits it? Which is a more sought after chassis swb or lwb?

I'm still rather new with the B3/T3 series, but I only know of 3 chassis available. Buggy short, Buggy standard and truck. Sounds like you have a truck chassis IMHO.

Hmm, I did not think about that. The buggy had some hop-ups and came with a Team car box. Now that I look into the parts catalog I see that the LWB chassis is listed as B2/B3/T3 Chassis, Long. So I guess that solves the mystery and explains why my Jammin' battery strap was too short.

Can anyone suggest an aftermarket body that may fit better? The factory body ALMOST fits, I might try some heat gun action. What a bummer to finish the car and have to tear it apart again
