Well, don't get too excited... I found pictures of Jay's car. I thought there would be a few more standard AE kit decals
The only decals I may have are the black Team Associated decals that are on the side of the tub. Not sure if I have black or white from a 10L kit I will dig them out and let you know.
Here is the spreadsheet listing all of the mods/parts needed for this project. It's originally an Excel file, but I exported as a JPEG and broke into 3 seperate pages to get the file size small enough. Let me know of any errors or additions and I will update.
Well today was my birthday, so I got a little time to install the correct servo and front shock tower. Thanks to Kooz for selling me a hard to find S131 Servo. I found a graphite shock tower on Ebay for a reasonable amount, solving my Ritt Dye issue.
Rainy week, so took the opportunity to Incorporate new parts on the JJH Classic project:
1) Installed correct Novak Receiver (Not an easy part to find)
2) Replaced Classic Shocks with period correct versions
3) Replaced butchered G-Plug wiring on Novak ESC (Tested my eyes and soldering skills)
4) Corrected Battery Plug
5) upgraded front wheels (chrome)
6) Test operation with NIB Airtronics XL2P Radio System
Overall I'm pleased with how the re-re parts integrated with the vintage chassis and other components. The reproduction chassis is often a lighter gold, providing a more authentic look.
They are Proline 1.5" wheels that fit the Rough Rider (#200-F). You will also need Tamiya Wheel bearing adapters. If you click on the spread sheets, they will enlarge so you can better read them. The spread sheet contains all of the parts needed for the replica.
If you search eBay for Proline 1.5 wheel, they show up fairly regularly. Here's a set showing now:
