Update time...... its been almost 3 months now.... The works '91 is finished except for the electrics install, once those are in i'll post some pictures. Its going to be used as a runner in the Welsh Regional series this year!! Thanks to those of you that help with the few bits and pieces needed to complete it.
As for the 870... I couldn't not do it, so ignoring alot of sensible advice and after a few months of trawling the web, many different auction sites and again with the help of some of the members of this great forum its almost finished. I'm just waiting for a shapeways bumper and some additional decals for the original shell and wing (no repro here) to turn up.
So here she is, thanks for looking

Really nice build
maybe a little to much angle on the wing...
I'm not a big fan of 870c (i'd prefer works) ; but I really like this one .

Nice looking Buggy, I'm looking to join the club and was following a new kit on eBay but it went for a tad bit more then I was budgeting for LOL.

@ peakey - yes, ndesign shell Justin, he's done a great job on it.
@ hanson - its a yokomo shell for the us market i think - protech-4
@ tamiyadan - thats not lazy and it picks up on the decal colours too-very nice, now I got to get me one of those cabinets to display it in
