Paypal Question
Have any of you run into this ...
Paypal has put a Temporary Hold on the funds from one of my sales. According to the info I saw there, it's a "routine" check to make sure both party's info is correct, but I've never run into this before. Funds are frozen until it's closed. I'm all for security, but this is odd.

Re: Paypal Question
Never heard of that before. Be sure that if you received this in an email that you login to Paypal and see the same message. 99% of the emails that are sent out are scams.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Paypal Question
I never received an email about it. I just happened to notice that my balance wasn't as high as it was supposed to be!

I agree you need to be very carefull these days with online accounts.mrlexan wrote:Never heard of that before. Be sure that if you received this in an email that you login to Paypal and see the same message. 99% of the emails that are sent out are scams.
On the subject of holding funds no I have not heard of that before.
Re: Paypal Question
The only time I have heard of Paypal "freezing" funds is when someone asks for a refund through them. This sounds quite different than the norm though, wonder if it's something "new".

Re: Paypal Question
That sounds very like the new system they were on about implementing, where they hold funds until the buyer leaves feedback having received their item, was only supposed to apply to low feedback or new sellers though. Sort of enforced escrow.

Re: Paypal Question
yep, that's exactly what's happening. What I believe caused this ... the Buyer won using his userid and then paid with the wife's Paypal account. It seems that the bill to and ship to addresses differ, causing the Paypal security software to panic. I'm not complaining, just the first I've run into it.
