Re: Masami World 93 YZ-WCS by Radio Race Car International
you guys know there's actually one of these cars on E-Bay right now !!
Not sure if we are allowed to post links to other members auctions on here, but if anyone wants the link PM me, or let me know if it allowed. Oh, and in case anyone has found it already and wonders about the seller, well he's a good friend of mine from as far back as 1984, and I can tell you this was a Yokomo guy from as far back as I can remember, and was certainly a good enough driver to get this car at the time !
I put a bid in for it, but suspect it to be worth far more than I can afford on one car !

If you mean this one then yep, seen noted and I am in the bidding, but as you say may well be out of my price range as well
I don't think there's a problem with ebay links so
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160226860822&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT&ih=006
Looks a real nice find

Thanks Stu for the glowing comments!
I'm both very excited and quite nervous about the sale of this car. It is, as you might imagine, very special to me, but it is just spending it's time now in a cupboard! It deserves to be in somebody's special collection and appreciated for what it is. It would also be appropriate for it to be raced as it is still a very special car to drive. I have never driven a car that was so stable and tractable. it just hooks up and goes!
Quite a few contacts from assorted collectors around the globe, but bidding is slow, so it may not go for that much! Also quite a few contacts from old friends like Stu which has been fantastic. I really miss the buzz of racing R/C cars during the golden era! Good times indeed...
If anybody has any questions at all feel free to ask!
Jimmy

Thanks for posting this. I've spent the last 5 hours reading through quite a few of these scan posts and have throuroughly enjoyed them all. I remember reading this stuff as a kid. Now I've just got to start collecting some of these old kits (stupid parents sold my RC stuff - goldpan stuff in a garage sale).
