Good job on the motor plate. With this being a racer will that alum be rigid enough to keep your gear mesh from changing during hard landings. Just thinking the motor could tweak the plate now that its just a flat plate.

Re: My mid engine rc10gt
Just thinking cause the standard motor plate typically bolts to the rear bumper and has the braked side adding strength. I might be over thinking it but it was a thought.

How is this project going?
I ended up replacing the Dynotech motor mount and going with your idea so I could have a pinion cover..
The track requires it and it has sucked in a motor wire once already.
I used a B4.2 plate I got off Ebay.. It's a thick plate.. No worries..
The only down side I've noticed is the 2 holes that line up put the spur slightly off center. No big deal unless you are running a small spur and pinion.
The old 66t 32pitch spur won't fit under the cover.
I swaped in a B4 top shaft and V2 slipper (planning on getting the VTS upgrade)
All I have on hand right now is an 81t 48p spur and 17t pinion. It won't mesh..
2nd GT chassis is in the mail.. I had to have one for my self

Re: My mid engine rc10gt
it has stalled right now asim trying to get the b44 up and running .. ya the spur shaft is a little offset in the hole .. you can see in the one pict i had to opwn the hole up and pull it down to center the shaft on the hole .. and drill and tap the 3rd bolt hole
ran into a couple problems with the 16mm shocks that i have to work out

Re: My mid engine rc10gt - sorry to say but its sold
I'm the new owner of this truck.
I already have a few RC10 / RC10T (I actually have a bunch of vintage rc's) but it's my 1st GT.
I'll keep the thread going with my progress.
