I agree. I wasn't hating, just making an observation. Traxxas gets on my nerves sometimes with the things they do, but they're still a good gateway drug to get other people addicted to the hobby. They make some super fun cars though. Tough as nails too. There is a huge Slash oval scene around here at 2 different tracks. Especially the one right here in town. I heard they had over 150 entries one night this year. I haven't been over to that one since it opened. I've just been kinda doing other things. I raced at the one in Rockport, which is about 30 min from here quite often. They have a big following too. We had H mains on some nights. They're a blast to race. This one's my racer. I'm getting ready to rebuild the whole thing. It's been collecting dust for the past year or so.
1984, Ghostbusters: Peter: "It just seems a little pricey for a unique fixer-upper opportunity, that's all."
Is it truly a roller without wheels and tires? He also neglected to mention one large and complicated part of the car that has gone missing from the back. It should have gears inside a case.
This thread could double in the lightweight chassis thread as well.
So, you stay up late and fall asleep, forgetting to bid on ebay and miss the killer deal. :?
You find a load of parts and just as the deal is about to go through the seller stops emailing. :x
You just cannot quite afford the price even though...

I dunno if that's a typo Terry, but I never put it on ebay, I was interested in buying it and asked for your guy's opinion. I got a valuation from you all (cheers :) )and struck up a deal with the seller which eventually didn't go through, can't...
Since some time I have interest (again) in 1/8 onroad cars and also collect a few of them and 1/8 stuff as mufflers, bodies etc.
I know I´m not the only one here having 1/8 cars and interest in this but finding informations seems a little difficult...

So one place for all guys (and gals of course, if there are) who have or like old 1/8 scale cars, onroad only please.
So, as I am getting another YR-4 (this time an M2 US version) after many years and parts are hard to come by at times specific to the YR-4 chassis I had a few questions. I did race a YR-4 years ago in Germany with the Keil DTM cup / series but have...

Well there were a lot more variations of the YR-4, but the original is what stays closest to the buggy indeed. There even is a bugg version of the YR-4: called hotdog. It basically is a YR4 with with works 91 suspension arms and axles. Even the...
This is my first post on RC10talk. I found an RC10T online and am planning on turning it into a street truck. The chassis is in really good shape. All I really need to replace are some turnbuckles and other small bits and it will be ready to roll....

I finished the truck awhile ago but screwed up a new body. I ran it with an old body until Treehugger helped me better trim out a new lid - Thanks again!
I've added the RPM trans, CVDs, and the new body since last posting DSCN1745.jpg DSCN1857.jpg

The adjustable motor plate has issues- Stock, it uses flathead screws to mount flush. You can't slot those, or they only tighten in 2 small spots, so regular screws would be needed and the gear cover will not allow uise of these. The gear cover is...
hey guys, got a YR-4 M2 (red shocks) that needs some work, anyone know what the parts compatibilty is like across the YR-4 range? (YR-4, YR-4M, YR-4M2, YR-4 Pro etc etc)
and are there any pickup/nascar race truck style bodies for this style chassis?

I think this body and other low profile bodies can´t be used at the YR-4 or other touring cars because of the shock towers.
