The Jeep is Gone
Sometime on Friday night, my Jeep was stolen from our place in Del Mar. According to SDPD, there's a ring targeting Jeeps in the area right now, so it's most likely been broken down into parts by now. Besides being my daily driver and occasional desert basher, this rig was the basis for a Rubicon Trail project and trip for my son and me. Needless to say, I'm pretty damn pissed off right now.

So sorry to hear about this. Hope they can recover it before it is picked apart.

Oh man, I can't imagine how something like that would feel. That thing is awesome. I'm sorry it happened. That sucks.

Re: The Jeep is Gone
Thanks guys.
Feeling violated and angry. I'm not there right now and my wife and son are freaking out and understandably nervous. That makes me even more angry. Having to rearrange my week and head back early.
I'm a light sleeper and I always park right outside of our place, so I most likely would have caught the SOBs had I been there.

Re: The Jeep is Gone
Sucks man, sorry to hear.
I had my baja bug stolen years ago that i had put tons of work and money into. Right off my parents' driveway in San Diego in the middle of the night with everyone home. The driveway is a hill and the car was pretty loud, so we're pretty sure they pushed or towed it up the driveway. Never recovered it

Re: The Jeep is Gone
I've seen some pretty brutal thefts before too. One guy had his wheels taken off the car (because they must have known it had a killer alarm system I guess) and it was on blocks in the morning.
Thieves suck!
