RC10T with Worlds Steering
Hi Guys,
I finally got round to replacing the long stock steering bellcranks on my RC10T runner with a set
of re-re worlds bellcranks,
Parts used,
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEDYT&P=7
3 of these, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX2842&P=7
2 of these, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX3314&P=7
And 4 of these,
http://www.avidrc.com/product/1/bearings/5/14-x-38-x-18-Flanged-Metal-FR168ZZ-bearings.html
Woohoo, It is steering much better no more wobbling and darting around while under power.
Cheers, Dave.

Re: RC10T with Worlds Steering
That's the same problem I had Dave, wouldn't track straight and not nearly as predictable as the later style.

Re: RC10T with Worlds Steering
That looks like a nice clean truck dave, the white is pretty crisp. I take it you only use it as a light runner? I love those tires but they're discontinued.
I can't wait to get my GT runner up and going.

Re: RC10T with Worlds Steering
Hi RJ,
Yep just a light runner, laps of the street in front of my house, I have been slowly taking the good
white bits off for another project. The only original parts are the front bulkhead, front body mount
brace, shock ends and bumper.

Cheers, Dave.

Re: RC10T with Worlds Steering
Whaaat?! how come that conversion worked for you? I had really bad bump-steer issues when I converted mine. Bump steer is when you compress the suspension, the steering changes. It was so bad I converted it back to stock 10T.

Re: RC10T with Worlds Steering
It's all about getting the height right. If you had them assembled improperly or didn't have the outer ball ends shimmed with washers those could have contributed, but otherwise it shouldn't have changed anything as far as ball joint height which is where the bump steer would come from
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Hi yellowdatsun,
Jeffs right, I assembled the truck with 2 x ASC 6936 #4 aluminium washers per steering block under the ball
stud as per page 6 of the RC10 Worlds manual.

Here is Brian Kinwalds Worlds setup,
Under race and vehicle comments, bottom left,
I see he is using 3mm thickness of bump steer washers.
