RC10 Gold Pan Resto

Post by scteggy »

Hello new to the forum... I'm restoring an original A stamped gold pan with bushing transmission. Just wanted to see if I should go with a brushless set up or a brushed system. Will the transmission handle a brushless setup. Thanks.

A properly built 6 gear can handle brushless power but will still require more maintenance than the stealth. While you may think you have properly rebuilt the 6 gear, it does take some time to actually get it right. My suggestion... stick with the brushed set up. Good luck!

Good brushed motors are inexpensive and you can still use LiPo's with many ESC's..... that's the route I'm going with my late CE restoration.
